Meeting Targets and Maintaining Epidemic Control (EpiC)

In collaboration with U.S. President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) and the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID)
Community Served  

  • Community-Based Organizations (CBOs), key population-led organizations, and people living with HIV (PLHIV) networks through 14 CSOs, CBOs  & PLHIV Networks from the Thane and Pune districts of Maharashtra.


  • EpiC in India aims to strengthen the organizational capacities of local community-based organizations (CBOs), key population -led organizations, and people living with HIV (PLHIV) networks to effectively manage and implement HIV programs and support resource mobilization to enable them to contribute to HIV response in their respective districts and states on a sustained basis.


The key activities include:

  • Organization assessment
  • Capacity development plan
  • Mentoring and handholding support for the organizational development
  • Organise thematic workshops on various issues and areas covered during the needs assessment
  • Development of communication material for the partner NGOs as a part of the resource mobilization preparedness. 

Main Outcome

STAPI as a lead partner for EpiC Project on organizational development and technical assistance for 14 civil society organizations (9 from Thane and 5 from Pune) enhanced the capacities of partner NGOs in two PEPFAR priority districts of Maharashtra, namely Thane and Pune with the support of FHI 360.
