Key Highlights

For the inaugural event, Kinnar Asmita orchestrated an offsite Meeting spanning four days in the vibrant locale of Goa. Attended by staff members, community leaders, and President Neeta Madam, the event was skillfully hosted by Mr. Sachin Tambe, who spearheaded the proceedings. Comprehensive presentations were delivered, including monthly and annual reports, alongside insightful discussions on work strategies and future plans from all unit project managers. Following the productive sessions, the team indulged in the delights of Goa, embracing sightseeing, vibrant nightlife, and savoring delectable Goan cuisine. The festivities culminated in a heartfelt felicitation ceremony honoring our esteemed senior staff members.

This marks a significant milestone for Kinnar Asmita, as we proudly announce the establishment of a dedicated Transgender Ward at the Central Hospital in Ulhasnagar. This remarkable achievement was commemorated with the inauguration ceremony led by our esteemed President, Miss Neeta Kene Madam

Kinnar Asmita proudly operates its own self-help group, providing a platform for empowerment within the transgender community. As entrepreneurs, we have established our unit called Unnati, dedicated to manufacturing a diverse range of handicraft products including soaps, bags, candles, agarbatti, and more. Unnati serves as a “Bachat Gath” for transgender individuals, enabling them to sell these products and earn a dignified livelihood.

Kinnar Asmita organized an advocacy event alongside the Bhiwandi Post Office. The Bhiwandi Post Office team traveled to Kalyan for this initiative. The primary goal was to encourage opening zero-balance accounts in the post office, facilitating access to various government schemes linked to the post office, and extending these benefits to the transgender community.

Kinnar Asmita collaborated with Lok Bharti for a skill development program tailored for the transgender community at our drop-in centers. As part of this initiative, we’ve already launched computer classes at our Shahad unit, cooking classes in Kalyan, and beautician training at the Transformation Salon in Kalyan Khadakpada. We’re eagerly anticipating the commencement of additional skill development programs in the near future.
